HEET in the yellow bottle is methanol. HEET in the red bottle is isopropyl alcohol. Denatured alcohol is mostly ethanol with a few other mystery ingredients to make it non drinkable.

I have had good success with Teflon string instead of graphite packing. Make sure every thing is clean. My mother had a 42 inch propane gas stove with 4 burners, a built in griddle and a large oven. She used that oven 300 days a year. We had baked beans with fresh biscuits at least 30 Saturday nights a year, different every time and always good. I am told that I had a gifted childhood.

Here in Western Maine they started almost on New Years day for the first run, the earliest ever. This is with a pipe line system but not all the trees have been tapped as of yet. Years ago things did not start until well into March. Thank you Global Warming.

I was told years ago that it was a tool for producing the set for saw blade teeth and the hammer was probably for putting in and removing the tension within the blade as not all blades were designed to turn flat while at speed.

My experience is that after about 20 years the o-rings develop micro cracks and need to be replaced but that they are easier to replace than the old cap gaskets that were originally there. I get mine at NAPA.

For drilling holes in thin material I use a step drill bit, much less painful than using a twist drill bit.

I striped a rusty 201 fount last spring with Evaporust and a brass brush. The paint came off nicely and the fount repainted well as a good user.

I have/had a 214. I spent a lot of time, effort and money to make it work correctly but it was never as reliable as my 237B. So I bought the parts and converted the obstinate 214 into a happy 282. I haven't put the 282 decals on it yet but someday....

I once spent an afternoon bulldozing stumps and rocks out of a small field and pushing them into piles in the nearby woods. In the evening I remember going out and looking at all the piled up glowing roots.

Some of my 288's need to be turned off almost immediately after lighting and allowed to warm up with the residual fuel that was there at lighting. Once the mantles glow then they can be turned back on successfully. Some of my 288's have manners and others need a bit of attention to get going. I pump...

There is a substance available at good paint stores called Japan Drier, it is mixed into paint to make it dry harder and faster. A little goes along way. I have used it in the past.

During the opening "monolog" there were usually a couple of Colemans hanging on the wall in the background along with many wickies. All the props for the show were from " Mr. Used " according to the closing credits, I always assumed that it was a second hand shop but maybe it was a prop supply house.
