Re: Canteen cup, clear coat and things that make make you say #@$&!
So I do my best to avoid painting in general, but I've found empty Crown cans to be perfect test pieces... I'll spray my coat on the can first, if it lays down fine then I spray my object... Same for when I go to the next step like a clear coat, hit the can first... See if there's any negative react...

Re: Unusual lanterns lamps
Neil McRae has listed this Gloria built torch lighting lamp as an AP model in his pressure lamp catalogue. Also on Terry M's sight. At first glance it looks like a Coleman AA/NA lamp, but has many Gloria specific features. Only one known at this time. https://i.postimg.cc/m287Pg16/PXL_20220806_16413...

Well done on that one Mark! Does it have a 7/16" or 1/2" gland nut? Is the underside of the vent white? Thanks, Toby. 1/2β and no. Mark the 1/2" gland nut started showing up in 35 and the bail shape would change in late 35 , so I'd lay money down that you're seeing a 5 year stamp π Congratulations ...

Sean the old style burner will go right on there. You might have to swap vent studs, but my guess is that would be fine also. Then you wouldn't need a reducer.

For Coleman's any Quickliteing lantern with a baffle plate. My LZ's are noticably noisier. I'm assuming because of the exposed air tube.
I also have some early AGM double mantles that are very quite as well. Trending theme seems to be the earlier, the quieter

There's nothing lower on this earth than a thief. That seems like a crazy repair bill also... I just installed a rebuilt engine in an F150 a couple weeks ago and the customers total was not much more than that... Of course I live in SW Missouri. I'm sure things are different out west.

WTB/WTTF 220/228B cleaning lever
Specifically the nickel cleaning lever. The B cleaning levers are unique as they are nickel with a 7/16" gland nut (30-41, Wartime B's would differ). The later nickel D's had a 3/8" gland nut and C's were all brass... At least the C's I've owned. This is needed for a very nice 1930 228B so the nicer...

You can consult the 1947 parts catalog which will, in detail, describe the difference between a 220B, 220C and 220BX, most of which revolves around the valve. But the C is easiest as it has a collar stamp as others have mentioned. Carlton does this catalogue mentions anything about a date range for...

Kraig you don't need to pull that apart unless you just want to. You will need to remove the valve wheel in order to remove the collar to gain access to the valve assembly for removal.
