Funny how different parts of the country have the same name for different things. These are what I always considered a June bug. Large, green, and hard as a rock when on the highway with a motorcycle.

I use Viton o-rings for cap gaskets. My experience with FS and pressurized fuel isn't good... But Coleman's seem to hold up better... Maybe a different mixture? Idk..

So... How many times did you try to flip the light switch while the power was out? 🤪 We've been weeks without power here in the past during ice storms and that habit doesn't go away... I always run my leacock's without the restrictor when running white gas... They use a common Coleman gen, and the burners are similarly to Coleman as well... Remember many Canadian Coleman's added a restrictor in the air tube on kerosene models. I also believe the 159X lamp has a restrictor screwed ...

Normally just loosening the packing nut is enough to break them free. But if it is still stuck then a little heat will get it 👍

An update on Rust911. I have used it some and it does work. However, it is not the same as EvapoRust. Rust911 is basically phosphonic acid. I'm sticking with Evaporust. A well serviced, clean, & pumped up 502 will get the center loops of the grate cherry red rather quickly... Arrowman thank you for posting The product and the results. As someone who plays with caustic chemicals, highly flammable substances, and explosive powders for the fun it I believe I will try some myself.

Do you bake first? What’s your process? Many thanks I cover my piece, then let it dry good... Maybe an hour? Then bake it per instructions. Maybe VHT has changed their formula? Still working for me. You might check into duplicolor also. I've not personally used it, but others have with great result...

It's my go to... I've never had it yellow on me, but it does cure with a flat finish which is a small price to pay for rust prevention.

Dominic it's not anything I'm familiar with, but being thin glass I'd say it's somewhat older and probably made for some heat. Maybe off of a round wick lamp? Sure looks good on the CQ!!

Yeah that looks perfect L.J. if it were me I would remove the gen tip and see if it looked clear, if so I would swap out the gen with a known good one. I've never had a factory Q99 that flickered/pulsed, but I've never used one of the re-pops either... I did have a homemade one that gave me fits unt...

Okay next question, how tight of a fit is your generator in your air tube? If there's much gap on either side it can cause a similar issue you're describing.
