Re: Why type of fly material is this? (Fishing)
That long stuff looks synthetic, not hair. The brown feather stalks sticking out all around is a hackle wound on hook. The black is probably chenile, then a rib of tinsel. Keith I was leaning toward synthetic. Pull a strand and put it near a match. See if burns like a synthetic or smells like a sin...

The feather towards the front is a brown "hackle" a neck feather from a chicken.
The body appears to be a brown dubbing, maybe synthetic, and wrapped with flat tensile.
The wing is a hair but not deer, as it is not hollow. Maybe squirrel?

Firearm safety training and meat processing (aka where your hamburger comes from) should be taught in our school systems.. I'm sure that statement will ravel some nerves, but it's the truth... Hmm. Pretty hard to over pressure a 220 with the hand pump. More common when using a schrader valve on the filler cap. If you did over tighten the valve and the F/A tube pushed into the bottom of the fount you can look into the filler hole and see if the F/A tube is hitting the bottom of the tank. W...

Sorry, couldn't help myself.
On a serious note I have recently bought a few of the coleman 21s in the plastic bag. They seem to run well. Haven't run them long enough to speak to durability.
