The early prototype 220H's with ribbed frame rest I have seen have all been 6-72. I have also seen many I've see 6-72 220F's. What washer are you referring to? If it's around burner tube base that's not uncommon on some early H series lanterns.

I've tried to use mine to hold a cooler but 2 different ones folded up and bent when cooler was placed on them. A 70 qt extreme and an old standard metal Coleman cooler.

Pull the valve and clean the pointed tip with some 0000 steel wool. Spray the area it screws into with some carb cleaner. Sounds as though there might be some debri there.

make sure you tighten it down into the check valve. My first one the little tips that seat into slot one broke off. I was told by maker to ensure it was tightened good.

It will run fine on camp fuel. You will still have to pre-heat generator.

if you don't need the sears you can most likely get 30 - 45 dollars for it. They sell for that and more all the time.

my experience is the older are somewhat better but all work.

I think the plastikote color has been discontinued. You may want to spend the money and go to an auto paint supply store and have it matched. I think it runs 15 to 20 a can.
