Them sparkers are good for vapor fill up while you keep trying to get ignition. L.o.l..
Tried one ice fishing with cold hands. Ya , not quite successful.

A match or flame going before vapor build up goes a little better for me. Putt putt instead of kapoof!

From old glass bottle and test tube days , I always use cool/cold water only for thin or old glass. Never hot.
