Well , it's an early one if not a replica! If you're troubled by that statement I'll take it off your hands for $20.00. (Kidding.) Being in Michigan also and a fan of sixteen hundreds on up outdoor history , I've been a fan of wool blankets for a while. Here's some hints on your serial # tag.. If ac...

Re: Newbie Fears Addiction, Has No Space
Cabin fever gets worse in winter as the walls close in. Critical mass in G.P.A.'s is often dependent on the spouse. Or landlord. Or both. Has there been any attempt at intervention yet? That can factor in making additions to a collection. There is some consolation in reaching critical mass. Time to ...

Mom sure spent a lot of hours in the kitchen. Noodles ,breads ,dumplings ect. from scratch. She went "out" to a restaurant for Mothers day. Maybe two or three other days a year. Us kids went less. Freezer had beef and pork and chickens at times from friends or acquaintances that raised them. I'm sti...

Caddilac safari type camping , better options exist for insulation below a fart sack. I'm a wool blanket fan , but have only used on for a under bag insulation rarely. (On a cot , with newspapers too!) If roughing it , your blanket would need a good airing/drying daily. It's moisture out of the grou...

Well done.
I can envision that being used here for quesadillas instead of the bacon press.
And for lifting meatloaf or whole chickens without bending a spatula.

My enthusiasm about Carhartt's faded with greater offshore production. Did wear them a lot of years in industry. And nabbed a stretchy hat at a yard sale. I like wool for cold weather. Force thawing using heat on a section vs all plumbing at once (as you're doing all at once in the crawlspace) ...Always work at the outlet end at like a faucet first. Midspan risks creating a burst. Giving pressure from heat expansion (and or thawed ice water) a place to go beats building it midspan...
