Only lantern that did that to me is a 275, the Schrader valve was rotten and did not shut off.

As far as I understand, the landlord has no plans to fix or improve anything. I rented the place in a hurry because they allowed dogs, had to rebuild the bathroom, do some paint, fix cabinets and clean up a lot. It sucks air from the house into the attic, which then moves that air out of the attic through the gable vents.

Last night was nice, cooled most of the house nicely.

Fan blows into the attic.

Yup, this is a 900 sqft rental house, no insulation to be seen, just trying to avoid the radiant heat from the ceiling.

Where I grew up is very humid, salt fog, most VW were undercoated with heavy tar, and they lasted quite well. If you had rust it was because of lack of undercoat.

As a rule, never eat from plants with three stems arranged like that. Never, ever rely on "General rules" when it comes to eating foraged plants! Know what you're picking and be damned sure. Can you tell the difference between Cow Parsnip and Water Hemlock? 'Cause one's deadly from any oral contact...

As far as I know, avalanches move above 60 mph, hard to escape if you are in the way. Guys were lucky.
