There was a store like that in Denver ( crossings of Iowa and Broadway), beautiful antique store, very well kept, with surreal stuff, everything was beyond expensive, talking into five digits, they were open for 10 years and then closed, most of the stuff never sold.

Camping in the Andes in the 80s, have a friend who had a Petromax 829, it was the center of almost every camping and helped to locate the booze. Also was the light for many party's when the terrorists blew the electrical grid ( which was a weekly thing for years)

Being cold sucks, if you can find good wool gear, I highly recommend it.

For the last 21 years I have been using alpaca wool stuff, socks, sweaters, alpaca wool hats, etc. Best thing since chewing gum.

Working with mil spec stuff nowadays, I see it on a daily basis, US can manufacture, but the supply chain is insane, any single item you buy today, has crossed a hundred ports. From raw, to refining, to part, to sub assembly, to manufacturing, to programming....literally mind boggling.

Just add a teaspoon of denatured alcohol on you coleman fuel can, it will grab any water during fill up, and burn it out during use.
