I think I’d let the seller know that it isn’t pewter ( so it should be a lower price) and tell them to call you when they run across more, cause you collect them. I’ve left my phone number at many a flea market owner/managers desks.

Looks to me like it needs to be a twelve point socket also. Some of the cheaper tools are only 6 points. Some of the less likely to round off a nut sockets and end wrenches are six-point! For sure Timm but if you check out that picture... the valve handle is a 12 point and a 6 wouldn't fit on it...

What's wrong is that I am 30 miles from Wellesley Island and it is on the US side. I should have found that not him! Already have one but the one on the bay is a beauty! Sometimes living on the border does have it's benefits! But not in winter!

I’ve actually left out a few 220 , 228 lanterns I just hung up in the barn. They keep showing up! Those pictured are in order of arrival…the best part is… summer is not over!!!

Wayne I'm glad you got it loose without damage, for future reference, loosen the gland nut and then pinpoint heat the gland nut... Then you can easily loosen the valve stem... Unless!! Thanks, Mark, Timm and Toby... I still can't find pictures or manufacturing date or data....turned down a Tilley heater that was missing parts and had a slightly bulged bottom for same price.... may go back.....don't own any Tilley products yet but don't know if
