I doubt it but I could be wrong. If I remember right; Thorium would produce a much lower radiation more in the Alpha or Beta catagory/range then what a low range Gamma Detector could detect.

For a Propane, that is a nice looking lantern Wrangler. Could it be the bottle your using isn't sealing properly? Maybe try swapping out the bottle you used with a different bottle.

Cajuncook; Just a suggestion - If you can't find just the metal eccentric block for your 286 you maybe could find a complete valve assembly for it that includes the metal eccentric block. Awhile back I ordered a 288 valve assembly from OCP and it came with the metal eccentric block.

I bought a new one as a back-up in March or April 2019 at a Military Surplus/Camping store . Like Timm, I haven't seen one since then either. I hope they still make them. Perhaps they are just out of stock as more people convert to Profane.

You guys up north got a ton of rain - enough to help quench the recent fires. Down in SoCal we were looking at getting 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Instead some of us only received 1/10th of an inch. Now the folks over in New York and New England are fixing to get pounded by a Nor'easter.

You could avoid all the worry by getting a propane adapter for that 426 and skip the Coleman fuel (liquid gas) altogether. The adapters are pretty common and you should be able to find one on Amazon or epray easy enough. Connect one pound bottles to the adapter or get another adapter so you can use ...
