Re: Southwest Indiana Spring Gathering Hosted by the Vintage Lantern Collector’s Club

Nope. None of that here. Just my brother and I in tents/hammocks. And a few choice GPA items of course.

Re: Kamplite IL-11B Inverted Disassembly Help

Thanks L.J., that does help me visualize things. I also notice that the studs holding the globe in place pass through the metal part that contains the generator, burner head, and tip cleaner and screw into the tank, correct? Do you or anyone else have any tips on separating the cast burner from the ...

Kamplite IL-11B Inverted Disassembly Help

I recently picked up a Kamplite inverted lantern from a local auction. It's in rougher shape than I had hoped, but I'm going to continue trying to get it going. After careful application of penetrating oil and some heat, I got the thumb nuts off and the metal retaining ring, globe, and white ceramic...

Re: Clayton and Lambert 300AT blow torch

Good looking torch. I have a similar C&L torch that I haven't started fettling yet. What leather pump cup did you find that works? Nice haul! I've been on the look out for one of those Bernzomatic lanterns. Haven't happened across one yet.

Re: 2023 CCF Garage/Yard/Estate sale thread

Not exactly from a garage/yard/estate sale, but here are a couple of FB Marketplace finds I brought home today. Got a clean 200A and a 425C stove. Not a bad haul for $30 total. https://i.postimg.cc/QxzYZr2D/20230210-190807.jpg After a quick wipe down. https://i.postimg.cc/XJnQkNCf/20230210-194038.jpg

Re: Southwest Indiana Spring Gathering Hosted by the Vintage Lantern Collector’s Club

I hope I can make it to this gathering since I live just north of Lynnville. I got my first few lanterns years ago, but the collecting bug has taken hold in the last year.
