mine does this too whether running off white gas or the propane adapter flames are a little yellow especially on hi. Just make sure to clean out your airways using a bristle brush. I like the one that comes with turkey basters at walmart. take off the r/h burner and you can go thru that orfice. i be...

Re: Replace gasket w/o harming filler cap screw
I would try a nice wide snug fitting tip in a battery powered impact. use gentle pressure on trigger. the impact uses pulses instead of raw torque and in my experience have rarely rounded or stripped anything out with a low powered impact driver. note I said low power and gentle. also could warm the...

my walmart no longer carries mantles because too many were being stolen. they could lock them up alongside the BB's but that would take way too much work apparently. and this is 5 miles from JTNP :) good times! that or they're not selling. Those candles are awesome. They've been around for a few years, but I never saw them at Walmart until this week. It appears that only the packaging has changed. Because the LED's are at the bottom, as the candle burns way down, the colors won't be as pronounced, but are still visible. Unless someth...

Re: Blue threadlocker or?
Single mantle Colemans are tapped 1/8" NPT, a standard plumbing thread. Double-mantles, at least from the Instant-Lite on, are tapped with a thread that has vanished from the face of the Earth. It's commonly referred to as a "proprietary" Coleman thread, but was used on several other gas appliances...

Walmart near me was selling these, before anybody accuses me of converting to LED, these are actually candles with an LED unit inside. my plan is to use it completely up and save it for the glass jar that has "coleman" embossed in it and make my own candle from it. this is the kind of neat stuff tha...

@outlawmws I would assume that if it's a tapered thread that the valve would wedge against the coil and then the coil against the fount. maybe some sealer at that point but now the scenario's getting janky. Re: Whom is running Coleman Outdoor Products?
I never had the impression that Coleman was doing poorly. Some folks are mistaken in thinking that collectors are a big part of their business, but we're not. It's more like .01% of their overall business. I'm in the minority in that I've bought several new liquid fueled lanterns in the past few ye...

just my 2Β’; it's the soldering torch size, 14.1 oz canister. You could definitely refill it but if I were you i'd save that old bottle and use it only for display. Reason is the moisture and freezing you get from filling and using might damage the label or paint. I would instead get a refillable one...

I've never bought the pure citronella oil, but have seen it on ebay. I just looked at one seller and a 1 oz bottle was $6 with free shipping. Re: Citronella in the fuel?
I'm sure that Coleman or anyone else using citronella in camp fuel would not have added tiki torch fuel, but actual citronella oil in some quantity of drops, not ounces. 285 gens aren't "unopenable", just more difficult the very first time. If one re-uses that bushing, well, they get what they dese...

i tried 75/25 WG and Tiki bitefighter in my 285 it ran like ass. Maybe 220s cope better with lamp oil? also noticed bugs in my area aren't fazed someone mentioned that combustion is so complete that the citronella cannot do its job.
