I assume so, but it has always surprised me generally how engineering design changes in consumer goods of all sorts can render something that was trouble free so problematic, all to save 1/4c or whatever. "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" comes to...

This is my one and only center draft. I’m waiting on some parts right now to make it work. I’ve got a couple different wicks coming, after reading this thread I think I’m gonna need one from Miles too. The huge dent miraculously does not leak!

I'm not sure what you mean by hung up, but if that wick is dry, soak it with WD-40 or kero. Forcing a dry wick will often trash a lamp by tearing the teeth off the gears. It has no wick with the burner unscrewed, the gears move the burner up and down, but it gets to the point like in the picture wh...

I really enjoy a good long distance diagnosis. ;) I'm making a flame flange for one of mine that arrived just like yours. Oustide diameter is 1.715" or just a little over 1 11/16". Without the flange you won't get complete combustion and will probably get a tall smoky flame and not much light. well...

Should lift straight up after it clears the threads. well, there's a part I'll call the burner cage. it holds that little rack and pinion. then there's a tube inside that that seems stationary. the burner cage runs up and down, but it's like it's connected to something inside that won't let it come...
