Mica questions

I have a couple of lanterns from the early 30's that are missing the original globes. A 242NL from 1932 and a 220B from 1931. According to the Terry Marsh website a mica globe was an option for both. I've been tossing around the idea of getting one. But I've never had a lantern with a mica globe, so...

Not a monarchist but I was very saddened to hear the news of the Queen. She had dignity and class, something that is sorely lacking from modern world leaders. My wife and I were privileged enough to spend some time in London a few years ago. Met a lot of wonderful people that loved their Queen.

If it was me I would probably just polish that cap a little and leave it on there. Aesthetically it looks fine and if you wanted an original cap it would have to be metallic green. Went up camping over the weekend with some family and friends. We arrived a little late and it was already dark. My cousins boyfriend had a cheap coleman propane lantern burning. A normal check valve removal tool should work fine if you have one. NRV's are easy to rebuild after removing. Sounds like the pip is bad if you are losing pressure, ocp carries them, very simple to replace. I just rebuilt one recently.
