Re: What disappointment looks like

Sad! Unless I’m buying from someone I know I’ve learned to stay away from lots of founts or even a bare fount. There’s usually a reason all the parts are removed from a fount. It was attached to a 200A frame, with a 242 bail, lol craziest thing I've ever seen. But yes I learned a good lesson, but a...

Re: What disappointment looks like

I had a 242 fount with a solder patch on the side of the fount. I torched it off to see what it looked like. It turned out that there was no leak on the side, but when dunk testing it, found it was leaking at the seam in the base. I would clean that off to be certain. From here, it looks like India...

Thanks. Got a 242C fount in a lot I bought, worst I've ever seen. Not much rust but absolutely filthy inside. Someone had it attached to a low vent 200A frame, trying to pawn it off as a Christmas lantern I suppose. Kinda funny

The 220/228 orifice is .008" diameter and the 200a uses one that is .007" diameter. Prickers are likewise different sizes. For the 220/228 the pricker is a .007" wire and the 200a is a .006" wire. I never leave a 413 behind. Heavy duty and you can actually cook on them with the extra space. My dad had and old 425 and I never liked using it, just too small.

Light from a 220 will project out further than a 228. But a 228 is more focused on a smaller area. Which is why I hang a 228 over the stove/kitchen area while camping and a 220 or 200A as high as I can get to light up a larger area
