You can make it as complicated as you want, but it doesn't have to be. Soldering is a good skill to learn, not that tough, but like anything takes some practice. Perfection heaters are great....................for heating! I use mine every winter.

If your into beautiful get the glass one. But I find them too bright, and too heavy/tippy and sold them. The regular ones are great.

You will need a glass globe (ocp has repo globes) and then a typical shade from anything.

Ideally you would have the finial (is that right) thing at the top too, but it will run wo it.

Jim is right, and wrong. 502 is great, but start with a 500. Kinda like the difference tween a 425 and a 413, a 500 offers a real stable, large cooking surface.
Of course, you need them both though.

Coleman makes a nice oven which is common and cheap. And some stoves come with oven attached! You need a bunch of these :) Below is picture of my Boss oven, Coleman is similar https://i.postimg.cc/Ssx6FQmV/BOSS-1.jpg Below is Coleman stove with attached oven https://i.postimg.cc/ZYD1QCJ7/COLEMAN-2-G...

THe only time scary fireballs can result is when lantern is left pressurized, and not lit. Fuel can then slowly leak out of generator and build up, resulting in flames when lit.

Not uncommon for lanterns to take a while to shut down completely, and yes, this is normal.

To test, pump up lantern, leave valve shut, and see if any fuel come from tip of generator.

And go light your lantern! About the worse that is gonna happen is it won't shut off.

I can see em now! One thing about those......Coleman has that cool air stem arrangement, AGM does not. And it is easy, when pump it, to bang the threaded end of the pump shaft on the threads of the check valve, buggering them up. So careful when you pump. That said, some AGM use a kind of screwdrive...

Yup, in one failure it is on too thick (instruction say THIN coat) and in another member is applying a second coat over the first coat before it is set.

Following the instuctions, treating the metal as per the instructions, is a good first step to making ANY product work well.
