Re: Akron 107 pump NRV help!!!

I have the same exact pump on a 107 but due to stress cracks have not torn into it. I am at work at the moment so can’t look at it. Seems like mine has a small tube that runs from the bottom up the outside of the pump assembly. I’ll have to look tomorrow when I get home. Interested to learn more abo...

Oh to me it is just terminology because when he said reducer I knew immediately where to look and the first thought was dumb a$$. And I had a good laugh. So I thought it was silly that I didn’t think to look at the hole. Tore that dang thing down multiple times and couldn’t figure it out.

Re: Montgomery ward lantern brightness

I love learning something new everyday. I will either change out the burner or turn a bushing for this one as a temporary until I can find the proper genny. Big lesson for me was to actually turn the lantern over on its side and look. I just set the burner assembly down over the genny and sent it to...

I was thinking the same thing looking at the cracked 107 I have. It almost looks like the vent stud is brass and was pressed in. Didn’t get the chance last night to pin or with it. I will tomorrow though. But will like to eventually find the correct genny for it.

Re: Montgomery ward lantern brightness

I am not sure. With this lantern it takes a baseball bat style generator that is pretty far at the top. Well I don’t have one but the s style generator (which is I assume a predecessor screws right in). Well there was no sign of a reducer just the unthreaded hole in the burner. But what caught my at...

Huge gap. That would explain the loud Venturi sound. I am not running the correct generator on it. It takes the baseball by style generator but we told the s generator would work.

There doesn’t appear to be any blockages. Thi thing is a loud as. Milspec. Will take it all the way back down one more time. Have had the valve no pickup tube out of it no cleaned. Have used two separate generators and found no change. No overburn. Just plain stumped on this one.

Ha I prefer the 413g. Because that is the only 413 I have. It has been a workhorse for 25 years or so now. I don’t even remember having to put a new pump cup or seal in it. It has now become secondary due to having a 426 three burner. But still use the 413 for all the oven biscuits and sweets.
