I have a 639c but I dislike the alcohol squeeze bottle. I'd like something I can actually cap for transport.
Are there any better options out there? I really wanna minimize my fuel containers as I only use alcohol for the lantern.
Thanks, fellas!

The amount you need depends on how warm the bath temp is (cooler is much slower) and how long you want to wait for it to be 'done'. I tend to be very aggressive with most dips/soaks and have a fresh water bath/hose ready nearby. I use the pure crystals, too. Just be careful. Alkaline burns like this...

I like to use a fleece sleeping bag as a liner for common 30* bags and add from there. Goodwill stores are a good source for camp bedding.

Those in NOS condition are worth a pretty penny, but the value as a user is not great, because while the water is safe to drink, it has that "canvas" taste and there are better ways to carry drinking water. These were used in the old days commonly to carry extra radiator water, needed when antifree...

"Shoot first, ask questions later" is possibly one of the last things I want to hear from any gun owner.
I say this as a lifelong gun owner. Protect yourself and others from harm, sure, but when people start hoping for situations to legally kill each other I start having a few questions..

I got into this just before the change to red bags, so maybe the tail end production was ok?

So, you set your new mantle on fire after tying it on, leaving behind essentially an ash lattice, right? At this point, trying to touch or move it would destroy it, yeah?

I've never done plating before, but I'm no stranger to prep. Anodizing is seriously unforgiving and my power supply is quite 'fancy pants' in performance, but built (quite hastily I might add) by me to save a ton of money.
Sounds like all I really need is a suitable test subject!
