As stated by another member, it will work. There are several videos you can view that will show you how the clean your generator. I always try to save my old generators unless they have areas that look damaged.

Yes your looks correct. Some C’s came with a stamped mixing chamber and others with the cast. My '46 has a nickel filler cap. I had to replace the mixing chamber though, I went with a cast mixing chamber like the D and E series has. That should clean up nice.

That's a beauty. Someday I may find one. Price is my biggest problem for many lanterns I want. My wife still can't understand pricing for some of the sought after items.

When I get some money put up, I plan on buying a few for my common 220's/228's. I fear breaking a globe from the way I light mine up. Take the vent off and remove the globe to preheat the generator.
