Thanks All!! The antique store is 30 miles from me, but I work in the area at least once a week. The store is closed on Tue & Wed & I work with my wife so she tries to schedule my work to that town on those days of the week cause she knows 😂

Very nice! How did you get the burner frame cleaned up and looking so nice? Well I finally got the 275A finished!! Didn’t turn out too shabby. Definitely learned a lot. Had to use a spare 275 valve, the original threads were messed up for the burner. Put a spare vent on while the one for this lantern is currently at IPE. Seems to holding pressure, dunk tested but will leave...

I got the Xmas lantern for $80 & 242b for $40. I figured it was a good deal. Almost got one off epay the other night for dumb money. Iam so happy I waited. Same guy brings in around 6 lanterns at a time, when a couple sells he replenishes them😁

Went to my usual antique store today & got a 200A Christmas 12/51 believe it or not. 😁 & got a 242B. Quite happy as I have been in search of a Christmas lantern for a bit now! Both lanterns are in awesome shape.

Maybe take it down to the fount, strip the paint & paint it. Couple of light coats per day. 4-6 coats & make it brand new looking.
