Sometimes I’m surprised by how much I need to snug up a new packing before they stop weeping. I've experienced the same thing, and on a 242C, as well. Hi, The valve stem packing was crumbling on my 242B, along with some other issues. So I ordered the rebuild kit that oldcolemanparts sells.
