Re: Elk 2022 and Coleman

Thanks all! The hunt was in Nevada, south of HWY 50 between Eureka and Ely. Nevada hunt unit 131. Unofficial gross score of 347 4/8. I'm as pleased as punch!

The point was discovered just yards away from camp.

I figured this would be a good thread for "Just Bull!"

Matt, I called the campground office and pre-paid for some fruit punch Gatorade as well as one bag of Scoops tortilla chips. I can't attend in person, but wanted to make sure that I can be there in spirit. Hopefully this isn't an issue?

I use and sometimes do installs for a local "fixed wireless" internet service provider. I'm assuming that is what you are switching to. Depending upon a good line of sight, it can be very stable. Unaffected by rain, snow, etc. Unfortunately I shoot my signal through some trees, and it can be spotty ...

I had once heard that as far as stock lanterns go, the AGM/Kamplite two burner lanterns (RL-3, RL-31, 2572?) had some pretty impressive burn times from full. Never tested it myself.

I wouldn't recommend that you put any sort of thread sealer on the jet (Or nipple as they call it across the pond.) Just get it good and snug, and you will be fine. Depending on the quality of your kerosene, if there is scuzz in your tank, and how much carbon is built up in the burner, you might fin...
