If your are using the Victor style traps, try using the end of a Q-tip to securely place in the trigger, smeared with peanut butter. Nice finds. I was on the hunt for a flaring tool also, and found them either hard to find, or priced ridiculously high. Finally got one similar design to yours for a couple of $. FWIW, those funnels polish up nicely chucked in a drill and some 0000 wool used on them.

Frabill's was purchased by Plano in 2012 I learned, and they still make fishing accessories. I think this funnel was probably from the 50's or early 60's, seeing no zip code on the packaging, and the fact that such an item was still made in the USA!

Couldn't find the tutorial from 2013, but still had some photos. Should be clear enough!

I found that tracing around a can of Seafoam additive was a good size for the felt.
