My question; is it possible the kero is degraded? Usually, adding 10-20% Coleman fuel will get it lit faster and allow you to burn sub-par kero.

IIRC, they went to the brass burner tubes around 1995, which makes for a more robust design, IMO. No, I don't think the fuel cap seal is wider. I'm cheap so I took an import open end wrench, heated the last 1 inch, then bent it in a vise. Not as good as a crows foot though.

Oil for leather pump cups: try Neat's-foot oil, 3-in-1, Marvel Mystery Oil, any new automotive synthetic, or (in a pinch) plain old vegetable oil.

All will work. Some are better in the long run.

Well, Joe Pagan is the aficionado on these. It looks much the same as the green on the L14's. If so, I've use "Rustoleum Grass Green" and been satisfied. Not sure it's even available now. Here's a milspec gen from our host, Oldcolemanparts...its not like the one you describe.

The milspec gens do not fit in the storage compartment.

If you found a gen that does fit in there, it is possible it goes to a mil-spec stove. Got a pic?

Likely the PIP itself will need replacing. This can be tricky. Some can use cork, some Buna, and others Viton. Gas resistance is the key. You could also tie the 21 off just above the burner cap/screen to shorten it. It burns just fine.

Our local 'welding' supply shop also repairs and configures propane hoses and connections, so I'd try a place like that.

Frankly, for 20-30 bucks (USD) you can find small appliance regulators online.

My first instinct is an air valve also however...it looks like you have a pre-heat bowl on the far side of the main burner. So, no need for air mix really (some came with both, I'm sure). What I can say is, I've replaced scores of pips on Coleman, Euro's, and Auzzie's, but...I punch my own from BunaN or Viton. I like a soft Viton but to each his own.

You can fab a pre-heat chimney out of a tall spaghetti can and a coat hanger. The petcock knob uses an O-ring, not graphite packing.
