The Empire and Major stamp was present from 1938- until mid 1950. The 237 and 236 were still called Empire and Major until 1970 Agostino Hi agostino, Thanks for the confirmation. 1940s 236/237 ventilators were much lighter in weight compared to the later 1950 high vents.
Please bear with me while I disagree-1946-7 seafoam vents on 236-237s were heavier-much heavier than 1946-7 pea green vents on the same lanterns.

yes they were heavier

I would not repaint or replace any decals on an original Railroad lantern
Coleman or any other type
Coleman collectors like repainting and modifying stuff but Railroad lantern collectors will only buy original
the more patina the better.

Normal and common Older collectors called it the "Liedenfrost Effect". from the "surging" and fuel being pushed back into the fount after being heated in the generator tube. Even though these are sold as Kerosene burners ,eventually Kerosene fuel will block the generator. not enough heat to vaporize the kerosene. @adelcoro Agostino, I couldn't clearly tell, but it looks like there is no "Made in Canada" stamp between the date code on your 200.
