I would not repaint or replace any decals on an original Railroad lantern
Coleman or any other type
Coleman collectors like repainting and modifying stuff but Railroad lantern collectors will only buy original

I agree that Colemans are simpler and more reliable.
I guess the more you work on the European models, the easier it gets.
Personally i only light one or two a year and that doesn't help

Normal and common Older collectors called it the "Liedenfrost Effect". from the "surging" and fuel being pushed back into the fount after being heated in the generator tube. @adelcoro Agostino, I couldn't clearly tell, but it looks like there is no "Made in Canada" stamp between the date code on your 200. If so, I presume that was the reason for the B, since the founts were made in Canada but used in both countries? That is a nice looking 200 BTW; just the right amount...

Here is a 🇨🇦242B sportlite originally had a decal Lomg gone, these late models had the paper decals.
