Re: Would you buy this?

I would have to see it in person. It's been my experience that photos just don't show enough of the true condition. It appears to have been left out in the rain or at least extremely damp conditions for way too many years. Even in the photo the rust on the frame looks looks heavy, like pitting rust....

I'm not finding a parts list for the 9D but I found an exploded view of a 9E and the part number looks to be 471-238. I see OCP has a 471-2381. I think I'll take a chance and order that one. It 'looks' right enough.
Thanks again guys.

9D stove generator problem

I picked up a 9D stove a few weeks back and have just now gotten to work on it. The generator wire tip (pricker) stuck in the orifice and has broken off the rod. The nice thing (I guess it's nice) is that the wire tip has a separate holder that screws into the long control rod. Does anyone know if t...

40 is way more than needed with the milspecs I run and that's 3 different brands. I pump 10-15 strokes, light it, when it's burning good I give them another 20 strokes or so -depending on how full the fount is. I've never used anything but a 21A.

If the valve seat is in good shape you should have no leak at the packing nut even if the packing is loose/bad. You have to have the valve open a bit to get pressure/fuel down the valve stem to the packing. If you have a leak at the valve packing with the valve closed then you also have a bad valve ...

I've used Flitz on heat discolored uprights on a couple of 200As with limited success. The bottle says it removes 'heat discoloration' but it doesn't specify what the particular metal was that was discolored. It didn't completely remove the blue but I definitely saw improvement on the 200As.
