Ok, Lots of info here.
The Tip cleaner at the tip of the generator controls the amount of flow, not the valve.
The more you unscrew, the more flow you get.

Or you can just do this neat little trick I saw.<br />1. Pump up the stove<br />2. Place the tank by itself not attached to the stove<br />on a level surface.<br />3. Place a can of fuel over the end of the generator to "Catch the fuel"<br />4. Open the fuel valve.<br />5. Wait 4 or 5 minutes.<br />...

Sounds like you have a 220E transition lantern, It was the lantern made for a year or so between the
220E and the 220F. Cool find and defiantly a good lantern. I just got the 228E from a member here on the forum.

smell from it for some time. Scullins got him another generator and it solved the problem.

No, ehoges has teh same stove I do, 1944 is my guess.
Mine has the 2 piece case. And yes it does stick in there some times.
Put a piece of wax paper around it, also make sure that the case is not dinged in.

Make sure you are not over pumping it.<br />for a test, use a a 200A gen tip on it. See if that helps at all.<br />Also Check that the f/a rod is not stuck, While running give the lantern a quick flip<br />upside-down. If it get brighter the f/a tube is stuck.<br /><br />My Milspec never runs right ...
