Yes, jet fuel is wonderful.

Also, very important. When you light up your lamp, let it warm up slowly before you turn the wick up. Let the burner warm to operating temperature before you adjust it. If you turn it up too fast, and leave the lamp, you may return to a run away lamp (out of control).

That is a very nice Aladdin lamp. Good eye and good deal. You will like it.

Use high quality lamp fuel - buy Aladdin fuel, Medallion lamp fuel, or Kleanstrip Kerosene substitute fuel at Walmart.

Do not use liquid paraffin fuel.

Regular kerosene may not work as well as the good stuff.

LED has made them obsolete. Cheap light and plenty of it. Does not matter if it causes a headache or not. We all know how great liquid fueled lanterns are, but the general public goes with the price, and the easy of use of the battery LED lanterns. Cheap - so cheap, that they are almost disposable.
