Coleman 9 1/2-Inch Steel Non-Stick Fry Pans for $9 at Woot.com

For anyone interested, Coleman 9 1/2-Inch Steel Non-Stick Fry Pans are $9.19 at Woot. They are available today or until sold out. I'm personally not interested in these, but in case someone here is, I thought I'd post this. For those not familiar with Woot.com, it's an Amazon company where they typi...

Re: Kit to refill 1lb propane canisters at Wallyworld

If you keep tossing the one pounder in a freezer after initial filling, you can certainly overfill it. I did this once, and as the propane bottle warmed up afterwards, the reverse Schrader did its thing and began bleeding off propane. I haven't tried to get one topped off that much since. For anyone...

Thanks Lynn. I was also provided a couple of links to the rehab by Steve (Gasman64). Dan,

If your airport isn't far away, drop by and ask. As I previously stated, they will know if it has the additive. If you try jet fuel, that's probably all you'll want to burn from that point forward. I find everything kero burning is well behaved with it.

Re: What is your preference of fuel in a kerosene lantern?

Dan, You didn't address your question to me, but I'll respond. Yes, it's the anti-icing agent you need to avoid. I hadn't heard of deposits building in a lantern, just that the fumes from the anti-icing agent are considered toxic. But that's enough for me. :) If your airport will let you buy it, the...

Preferably kerosene (jet fuel), but if the lantern won't be used much for several months, such as over the winter, then it's naphtha. I just need to remember not to open the fuel cap to release pressure when running naphtha. :)

Curt,

Unless you plan to burn that Air Pilot indoors, just get some kero. If you do plan to use it indoors, don't use pure liquid paraffin wax , such as "Ultrapure". Pure paraffin is for tiny wick lanterns like maybe 1/4".

A really good bacon recipe: Fry bacon in a pan as you normally would. Remove the bacon, leaving most if not all of the bacon grease, and toss in lots of string beans. Add an unhealthy amount of brown sugar (to balance off anything healthy about the string beans). Toss occasionally so the string bean...

How full was the fount? You definitely need to build a little pressure to compress the air in the fount. Two to four pumps isn't enough unless maybe the fount was really full so there was little air space.
