The F/A tube is removeable...I have done it many times, it is threaded into the valve body. But you are correct that there are no flats on the tube end.

Re: CQ lamp valve leak
Doesn't matter where the leak is...from the threads or from the outside of the tube. The flare is not seating correctly or the flare is cracked or the seat is worn.. If you look at the nut the end that pushes on the flare has no threads on it it just puts pressure on the flare. The lead washer will ...

I have had the same problem. I punched out some flat 1/4" lead washers (1/8" thick) and punched a small hole in the center. The washer goes into the valve and you simply screw in the generator nut. This stops the leak.

Don't laugh. I have done this on an old stove , removing the pump tube to repair a bad , leaking, solder joint at the CV fitting. But I was able to braze everything back together and now have a working stove.

If you mean "clocking", then that is the position of the vavle in respect to the pump/ fuel cap location. Some folks are anal about it but it is just trying to be sure it is as originally installed.

If you remove the generator and open the valve you may isolate the problem as being before the valve, i.e.pick up tube or after the valve..i.e generator. Assuming you have pressure in tank.
