I wanted to make some nice wood shelves, but things were getting out of control quickly. I bought these wire-type shelves where I can adjust the height for a type of GPA. I live at 6840ft in Colorado. Here are some data points from home and when camping at 7,000 ft. to 9,000 ft. to 12,000 feet. ... I've taken a 220B, 228B, and a 243A elk hunting, using them for a week in a canvas tent at 10,000 feet. The 220B and 228B worked just fine without the issues you describe....

I've used this glass bead from Harbor Freight on several globes. If I recall correctly, it was light passes. Can't say if it's the "best", but the result was very nice.

I haven't used one camping but have used one when night-ice-fishing. It worked pretty nice because the shelter is pretty small meaning you sit pretty close to the lantern, and a bright GPA is too intense.

You've been on quite the quest! The only GPAs of which I have the complete set is the much newer and fewer, seven, M-1942 stoves.

I wonder if Terri Marsh would be interested in photos of complete sets of things because that collection of Primus 96's is impressive. Thanks for sharing.
