Most fuel efficient Coleman lantern....

OK, I will go first. I say a 286, because it is adjustable, I don't have any proof, just a guess.

A couple of VHT paint questions Need help asap

I would vote just leave it alone, use it and learn from it, and when it gets beat up enough that it needs a repaint you can do it proper.

Where to buy mantles?

How do the peerless stack up to the silklites, I have been picking a few up lately, but have not used any yet I want to just use them in the older lanterns say pre 1950's, just for effect (old lantern, old mantles)

Am I way off base here by saving them?

One question, as I am almost finished my 159, I am looking for a shade to go on it, I have a globe holder for the lamp but can I use a fabric shade from say Home Depot or will it end up going up in flames. YIKES.

Does it have to be glass or parchment? or some other trea...

200 overfueling problem

Did someone change the tip of the generator perhaps?

Does it have a cleaning rod?

Does it have the packing in the generator(spring type thing & the little cardboard tube)?

Just thinking outloud.
