Air stem missing threads
Well here's a new one on me. Pulled the air stem from a 1958 Coleman MilSpec. Looked real odd and then I realized it was missing the threaded brass piece at the end. Never seen this before. And luckily the mising piece was not in the check valve. Photo shows it next to a 220 airstem on the right . h...

Have you tried to poke the little ball bearing inside the check valve with a piece of stiff wire? Sometimes it just need a little push.

I’m good for another year as I scored 6 gallons of Coleman fuel at an auction for 6 bucks each. Crown at my local MalWort is about that price.

Mail delivery.
I read a number of posts that mention how USPS mail delivery can be horrible. I’ve never run into that problem but maybe because I live in a big city. After reading this WSJ article I now understand why lots of folks are complaining. I worked in a P.O. during high school and am sad to see it decline...

If you want to get rid of the entire logo just soak the font in muratic acid (trade name for hydrochloric acid) overnight. Wash off with water and it’s gone. Sometimes there will be a shadow that can be done away with mothers.

I think will never all agree on the risk of font sealing. BUT, maybe as a group we could all agree that if a font is sealed that it should have a statement painted on the bottom that states it was sealed.

I've got an AGM 3927A with US on the bottom of the font. I thought only the 3927 without the A had US imprints on the bottom. The font is steel and the air tube and mixing chamber are Coleman like. The main valve is clealy an AGM. Frankie??? https://i.postimg.cc/ZnzcFGR4/20230310-171621.jpg https://...

Someone real good at welding might be able to save those hinges. But a better solution is to find some replacement. There's a great metal shop in central NC - but i think that a bit to far from Texas.

Can you bend it back in shape? if it was so easy to bend the first time i would think you could fix it. And i would put it back together before attempting a re-bend - it's easy to squash the round out that thin (well thinner) brass.
