The metal tube seems to be a bit longer on the Canadian.

The big problem would be the pricker rod, the Canadian would be too short because of the extra length needed for the brass "adapter".

The exact same thing is going on here! All our family is out west, so we have Thanksgiving dinner at our friends’ house with their family, then we all go to the Erie Otters hockey game after. Annette cooks our own turkey dinner so that we have all the yummy leftovers. 13 pounder is in the oven right...

My coffee maker will wet the grounds, pause, then continue (pre-infusion). It has a shower head that wets the grounds more evenly. I’ve had it for at least 5 years and really like it. Bonavita is the brand.

i've never heard the term 'outgas' before, but I assume it refers to the process of the beans/grounds releasing a substance that adversely affects flavor. I guess there is CO2 in the beans that can affect the flavor, and it takes a day or two for it to escape. I don't know if I could tell the diffe...

Just got back from my roaster. Had to wait while they bagged it straight out of the roaster, so I know it’s fresh. I won’t use any for a couple of days so it will have time to outgas.
