Be careful in doing repairs for strangers. You can get into a legal quagmire if the person burns themselves or if something goes wrong. Liability can be expensive.

There are several in my area, some specialize in firearm coatings. The one I use is the same but also does exhaust headers and manifolds. Maybe seek out one of those in your area.

What kind of prep work goes into the vent for the cerakote finish Murff? I do nothing to the vents, the pro media blasts the porcelain off and then puts the Cerakote on it on both sides. The Cerakote is thinner than paint and porcelain, so any flaws in the metal show, such as the weld points or def...

I pay a professional to apply the Cerakote. It's a ceramic coating, not paint. Most of these end up on eBay auctions. Some do well, others, I literally lose money on them. The customs are in such crappy condition, prior to restoring, I feel by customizing them, they will survive with some uniqueness...

Cerakote is 1800 degree, handles the heat well!
