Re: Security 220 Lantern

Not really sure what the combination is, but had no desire to fork out $119.99 on a 220E, in this condition, to find out.

Not sure who needed more illegal drugs, the seller for his asking price, or a buyer, that would pay it?

Cerakote has a variety of products. They vary as far as heat resistance is concerned. The 2000 degree air dry colors do an exceptional job of standing up to the heat in a vent. Lower temps, not so well. The lower temp colors, and there are many, look good if they are hit with a clear coat after the ...

Good thread! My experience with new ones. The green tip newer matches that are strike on box only, suck! Half won't light when struck on box, the striking surface will be worn out before the box is empty and, half of the matches that do light, as they light, the head snaps off a flies away possibly ...

Thinking more about this, perhaps a soldier knew SMPs aren't as good as Coleman, put the MIK sticker on the vent. Granted, this lantern looks like it was used once but wouldn't the sticker have burned off?

Sometime in the 1990s, I found a nice 200A in the original box for $5.00. I decided someday I would learn to fix it. The internet came along and I found a site that had some repair info. That site clsed down but suggested Frank Bebb's Old Town Yucca site. That is where I learned a lot of stuff. All ...
