If one likes the look of a Mil-Spec but hates having to deal with the BS to get it lit, converting it to a 220 style lantern is pretty easy.

If I recall correctly, some Ivory 500s did have grates painted black. When I acquired this stove, we had a guy that did porcelain enamel. I had him porcelain all of the burner parts on my Ivory 500.

Learned a hard lesson regarding brass founts. That's not a repair in the fount. Not only was the red powdercoat compromised, but three brass 500 founts that were to be Chromexed also had the same problem, plus one more red fount. Seems the silver solder that seals the steel bottom to the brass fount...

The Cerakote is a 2000 degree ceramic coating. The answer is yes, it doesn't seem to care how hot it gets.

OCP bought all of the Sportsman globes from Jafe when they gave up coloring globes. Cigar Mike had over a thousand of these globes at the time and sold them pretty cheap. Jafe also did them in not only amber, but also in red. The red are about as rare as an Arc lantern.
