Re: Seems like Silly Money to me...

I expected it to be sillier. At least it’s real. I’ve seen Coleman stickers just thrown on a cabinet and seen the silly money phenomenon happen too. Too bad somebody hit all the labels with a black sharpie.

Re: Cleaning a F/A tube with metering rod (long winded)

That was great! Even tho I am fluent in F/A operation, you gave me an ah ha! moment with the too large of a pickup hole giving a rich light up experience. I have at least one I may want to just replace the current F/A assembly

Nothing that’ll make me suck, but a 220D with unchipped vent and green sunrise globe, painted 242 with red letter replacement, a spare nickel plated fuel cap, two old full cans of 2 cycle oil, a prewar German made sparkie, and a made by Crescent wrench. It will screw in. It’s meant to be tight. I think your efforts are better spent trying to multiply the efforts to screw it in. Homemade fount vise with wrench, or strap wrench with fount upside down and valve in a vise.

The problem isn’t likely to be between the tip cleaner and the main valve. It’ll probably be the F/A tube which means you’ll need to pull the the main valve.

It sounds like the F/A tube is somehow acting as a straight pickup with no air being pushed thru the air holes on the top.

If that was true, a swap with a known working F/A tube would prove that.

If the fount was overfilled by tipping and filling to the cap might cause it to ac...
