Send some rain way out here! The cattle pasture behind our home that burned late summer is still bone dry. The rancher has moved most of the cows to greener pastures and the few still here are being fed fodder. Hoping the Aleutian generated winter rains are coming soon.

I love the old aircraft and the new, but standby for further development of unmanned aerial vehicles (uav's). They will probably rewrite air to air combat. Yes, sad. As a kid I loved turtles and every spring I would catch a few Painted turtles and Eastern Spotted turtles and keep them in a large old bathtub sunk in the ground and fenced off. They were well taken care of, but in early fall they were returned to the swamp where I had caught them. Today, ...

Nice old classic. I shoot a 1950’s Remington Model 11, which was made under license from Browning for many years. It’s the same gun, but nowhere as nice as the Browning. The actual recoil is the same as with non-recoil actions, but the felt recoil seems less for many shooters. It may take some time ...

Yes, a desirable lantern. If it’s a family pass down, personally, I’d keep it. It does have some non-period replacement parts which will affect its value some. Once you find out what some have sold for, don’t be hasty in deciding what to do with it.
