I do my inverted lighting procedure by setting it on pavement, pressurizing, place a lit tea candle under the globe opening and then ease open the output valve. Seems to less drama.

It WAS dark green. It must have just been the way it was photographed. I pulled the trigger and now it is my hot little hands. The guy said it had only been used a few times, and not since the mid 80s. It is in really good shape, just a bit of scuff marks on the top of the burner ring. October 1985....

I love my loud inverts. The large open hole in the globe hanging over your head means there is no glass between your ear and the burner.

I have a 228C stamped 1 8. Not sure if that is January 1948 or August 1941. Neither date makes sense as Coleman only manufactured the Model 228C after WWII, from late 1945 until early 1947. I've always thought there was some drinking going on at the factory in those days.
