I wouldn't strip and repaint that. It looks really good just the way it is. Clean and polish it up. You'll be surprised at how nice it'll be. The replacement decal will be a vinyl sticker, not a proper water slide decal. It's only original once.

I can't stand a thief. This was a stupid thief at that. As mentioned above, what can they do with it? It would be like stealing the Mona Lisa or the Hope diamond. They will be caught as long as they don't get scared and burn it or destroy it some other way.

Nice lineup Archie. It isn't easy to find a 200B with a nice vent. Like the red 286, the porcelain just didn't hold up very well.

That looks lile it's already been touched up using the wrong shade of red. 10-61 should be a burgundy 200A. I would either use a super glue to glue that spot back down or knock it off and wax as mentioned above. It depends on how much of the paint is loose like that.

I just picked up one of the orange parts racks. In one of the jars is 5 NOS slant valve stems. All of which are drilled and threaded. I'm not sure if I still have any 603 generators here or not though. I haven't had my L220 or my slant lamps apart yet to know if they're threaded or not. One or more ...

That's awesome Timm. I found a really nice model A this past Wednesday. I paid up a little bit for it, but I'm happy so far. It's another hole in the collection that's been filled. There were other goodies as well. I'll have to post them to my own thread soon.

All of my cherokees would do that with plenty of pedal left. Now, I wouldn't have tried that with my old '59 CJ6. That thing was a lumber wagon. It would beat you to death at 55mph. Brian, I've heard it said many times that if you wanted to ditch the four banger for a 6, its easier and a lot cheaper...

I feel your pain with track bar bushings along with the rest of the front suspension. Jeep death wobble will make you shake one down your pant leg when it happens at around 80mph. That's a violent ride.

That's right Kevin, no oil leaks. When I got it, the exhaust header had the usual crack in it. I replaced it with a new one. The A/C had a leak in the system somewhere. I don't use the A/C, so I converted the A/C compressor into an onboard air compressor. That really came in handy when I aired the t...

Very cool Timm. We picked up a lift that's almost identical to that a few months ago for $150.00. The seller said it was junk. We found that a wire had come off of the back of the ignition switch. Reconnected the wire and away it goes.

Nickel or copper based anti-seize compounds will both handle the heat just fine. I've used plenty of it in the aluminum extrusion industry on dies that reach well over 1000 degrees and stay that hot for more than 12 hours at a time. It doesn't take much either.

I've gotten rid of all of my newer vehicles and replaced them with older ones. The new trucks are dead ugly in my opinion and nowhere near as rugged and reliable. Trucks today are made to cater to those who buy a truck for status. I buy a truck to be used as a truck. I don't need touch screen stereo...
