Re: Great lakes fall gathering 2023
It was great to attend and even better to see everyone again. You're right, there were definitely some folks that were missed this year. Andy, you two did a great job of organizing things again this year. Our whole crew of misfits had a blast again this year. As soon as we know the date, I'll be sur...
Re: HEET.
A lot of your issue with flaring up is because zippo fluid is a form of naphtha, just like Coleman fuel.

That was a bad leak. It's been leaking for quite a while. There's no easy fix for that kind of damage. The only right way to fix that is to replace the sidewall. If you don't, it'll rot from the inside. How old is your 5th wheel, Mike.

They’ve really been worse than usual this year. Amazon will deliver the package and send you a pic of where they put it. USPS can tell you that at some point it might have been in Ohio. Agreed. I had a fuel filter for my son's truck marked as delivered on September 11th. It didn't actually show up ...

I've seen it before, but the lantern looked like it had been dropped and landed on the pump. Or possibly the air tube was plugged and someone smacked the pump with a mallet to force the plug out. The paint was cracked around the pump tube.

I fill mine once every two weeks or so with frequent use. Evaporation isn't really a big deal with them because it is very minimal as long as the hinge is still in good shape.

It looks like someone modified the base and put the wrong reflector on it at some point. The right reflector has small fingers that go into those slotted holes.
Re: I’m Back!
I just looked at the specs for that cam. That's one heck of a cam. Not the biggest that I've seen, but definitely up there. A cam that big will definitely lower the ability to make good vacuum. An electric vacuum pump may be necessary for that one. I also agree with the use of roller rockers.

Re: I’m Back!
Hey Levi. Here's a question for you that hasn't been asked yet. Do you have a check valve on your brake booster? It should have one where the vacuum hose enters the booster. If that's a fresh engine, and the timing and carb are set correctly, you should have no problem pulling 18-20 inches of vacuum...

I believe that what you're looking for is the model 5122 with an adapter for using a bulk propane tank. They have the dark green bottom and light (almost white) vent.
