+1 to USPS. I've shipped a Kampkook No. 3 to Sweden and don't remember having to do anything special besides filling out the customs form. This was about six years ago...I'm sure the shipping price has gone up since.

For the lens, a tip from Christopher_OR was to use a cut out from a plastic soda bottle. What I did was buy the cheapest tire pressure gauge (slime brand) and use the lens from it.

By the way, OCP has some of the male tent ends. The male tent end pieces do break, but not as often as the female pieces. The female tent ends usually break halfway the hole. I've used HEET in the yellow bottle before. You can get them at Walmart in the auto section or some of the other auto parts store. I also look for denatured alcohol at estate sales or garage sales. Someone gave me a gallon of isopropyl alcohol. It's not the best but I occasionally use it on my beate...

In the Model 5 (a,b) heaters, the lighting instruction still required the user to hold a match for a few seconds under the preheat generator (to preheat the preheater), which would make it a "match-lighting". I don' t have a 322 but in the catalog, Coleman called that setup an "instant-lite" preheat...

Looking at the newly posted AGM catalog, could the preheater that I originally posted be? Probably not...the burner is too slanted and there's a hanger clip on the AGM. One thing I would try is to flip the spring so that the "flat" side of the spring is behind the pip holder. I had a Tilley that didn't hold pressure when the spring was installed the wrong way. If the pip holder is against the "non-flat" side of the spring, it ends up crooked and the pip not sealing...

you can get the fresnel lenses. i got one off ebay a few years ago, not original manufacture but the look and measurements were right and did not crack when i lit the lantern. The badge on mine is red and I wonder if the color of the metal badge has something to do with the color of the caution sticker....?

I think I've seen preway metal badges in yellow and orange also.

My Svea 126 has a different brand burner but it still measures about 1.5". The flame ring I have on there is from a Butterfly 2412. A 3F also has a 9-3/4" generator. I didn't measure my 3H, but I'm guessing it will also have the same gen length. Generator for the 3F is 413-262.

I should clarify. It shares the same needle with older HGPs (1920's) like the 5052...I think the later HGPs, 30's to 40's, are different.

The backside of the gauge's faceplate might have a date stamp. Not necessarily the date of the hgp but should get you in the ballpark if the gauge is original.

The part number is 2078 and it costs 1.20 GBP

It took about a month to receive the item from u.k. to u.s.

From your pictures, it looks like most of the rips are happening at the frames. The portions of the mantle wrapping over the wire frames are probably in a lot of tension.

I have a 6F, which came with the same burner assembly as the 417B and 412B. The 6F and the 412B came with the bakelite knob for the auxiliary.
