You will like the hammock Matt. The eyelets were all hand sewn. Nice rope and knot work. Canvas seems sound but not sure it will hold my girth.

Sadly, here in California we have had non stop fires, some of this still burning since June. They have taken out a lot of homes and business and now have a couple threatening the giant Sequoias in Sequoia National Park. We have had several dry years and moisture is very welcome.

Prentiss Warbers, badged for both Sears and Monkee Wards. Mid 30’s. Heavy well made. Has a pip in the pump that may need changing out. The bulge globes are smaller than the Coleman’s and hard to come by. Is there a lighting hole in the globe?

Got a closer look at the 427 with ICCC book in hand. Fount indicates 1937 and the frame and fiber wheel much earlier. No sign of recent fiddling so I’m guess a 1937 fount with earlier parts. Who knows.

Gunhippie, not even any campfires in Yosemite at the moment. The arrow pointed to EXTREME. Don’t know about bonfires pushed off but I believe there is a certain time when the setting sun hits the falls and it looks like it is on fire. The park gets pretty crowded when that happens, crowds everywhere.

The lantern fount is heavily encrusted but I am always amazed by how they bounce back. Mica has the usual small imperfections but very serviceable. The small green vent is almost perfect. Always loved Fire lookouts. My Dad worked one in the summer of 1964 I believe. We used to visit and bring him supplies. He was between jobs and glad to get that one. I had to look this one up to see who the dead man was and founds out it was a deadman, not a dead man. History is so interesting.
