In operation I really wouldn’t expect it to make a difference. However, I feel it might be more secure if it were concave—like a barbed-fit. I would love to find a US nickel CQ lamp dated 1-1925.

If it is out there, finding it would have a dual meaning to me; 1-25-1925 is my paternal grandmother's birth date--coincidentally, exactly 95 years later my youngest was born.

I like the brass on the E. It looks sharp! I also stole your idea earlier on after seeing the copper one 😁 We retrofitted some street lamps with LEDs and don’t need the old lamp holders (or reflectors) anymore. Congratulations, the new rig looks great! Going to be riding in style while hunting for GPAs.

I think you’ll like the WeatherTech products. I have the front and rear floor covers and the no-drill mud guards. Nice not having to put holes in a new fender.

FWIW, I took a peek in the book since I’m not too familiar with the military burner types. If the later 520 burners had steel founts, I’d say it’s a 520.
