Searching eBay current and sold listings I see 2-83, 4-83, 6-83, 9-83 and 11-83. Models listed were 200A, 220K, CLX and CL2.
There may have been some propane jobs during the other months. Unfortunately base plates weren't stamped for every month of the year.

Hello there, CSauer! Welcome to the CCF.
You’re in the right place to get your gear back up and running. Try placing a WTB in the classifieds section. Hopefully you’ll find what you need to get your M1950 back on track.

My bet is that the drill the holes in the tube and then solder it in place. And thus a bit of shifting around may occur due to the late Friday or early Monday effect. It is a cool process to see. That one is belt driven from a tractor’s flat-belt PTO wheel. It looks like the belt is rolled up on the reel just above the front left wheel.

Mostly whatever I have depending on the grime: dish soap and water, Go-jo/Fast Orange, Lava soap, Sprayway, Barkeeper’s Friend, oven cleaner, lye bath in the ultra sonic cleaner, 4/0 steel wool, razor blades and fingernail scratching as needed.
No wax.

Gizzard,
I appreciate your interest and eagerness—however, I’m afraid that ship has sailed. Will has received my ‘73 and one of the ‘64s is enroute to me along with some other goodies we agreed upon.
At this point the only thing pending is USPS making the final drop.
Thanks again!

For regular replacement I use the flat gaskets. It seems that there is more surface area to seal against considering the cross sectional shape of the flat gasket and the profile of the filler opening. For the filler openings that are rusted and pitted, I clean them up and smooth them out trying to e...

Yea, you can use lye (sodium hydroxide) to clean stainless steel cookware. Sodium hydroxide is an ingredient in most automatic dishwashing detergents. Generally, lye and aluminum are a no-no. As is your flesh, so be careful! Maybe I'm thinking about the use of stainless steel in electrolysis I think...

newguyntown, welcome to the CCF. The valve bung on the 290 series is larger than the 1/8" NPT of the 242/200 series valves. So, unfortunately not without modification/making a bushing.
There are large 220-size founts with 1/8" NPT threads. My Canadian 639 is. Hopefully other can chime in with more info on that.
