About four to five years on average for us. I try to change them every four to avoid issues but I’ve missed that a couple times.

There might be a screen at the top of the generator right below the gas tip.

Try taking it all apart (gas tip too) and taking a peek. I usually use a pipe cleaner or stiff wire to push it out from tip to flare then toss that little bugger.

They looks fantastic, Timm. I’m a little surprised the bird crap didn’t do damage to the finish on the ‘58. It looks much happier now!

If your pressure loss comes back it just might be time to break out the pail of water. Hopefully it’s smooth sailing from here on out.

If flushing the valve out doesn’t get you where you need to be there is a good possibility you reinstalled the valve stem 180 degrees off from its original orientation. The needle and seat will wear to each other with use. Since there are two starting threads on the valve stem it’s a 50/50 shot whet...

The Victor mouse traps that have the yellow pad seem to work better than the ones with just the metal tang. The plastic pad gives a bigger area for them to belly-up onto and more leverage to trip the bail. Peanut butter for bait has worked well in my experience. Place the trap along a wall or other ...

Hi Bill. You’re on the right track, it appears the globe was replaced somewhere along the way.

The globe currently on your lantern would be from the 62’-‘77 range.
