22’ Fall Gathering, Southeast Coleman collectors, Elijah Clark State Park

Per our host William Akers “Planning this early! November 11-13 at Elijah Clark state park in Lincolnton Georgia. The campground is gonna fill up soon so book your sites now! Looks like the most availability in Loop/campground 1 but choose where you want. We’ll post a map for the campground as folks book sites with names to show where we will all be. Will have a pavilion area for a potluck meal on Saturday. Will add more details as the time gets closer but book your sites asap. Any questions, please reach out to me. Thanks!” I will add Unfortunately in this post COVID world we are going to have to book things way more in advanced than we have in the past. Georgia and Tennessee state parks and even the Carolinas stay booked up sometimes 12 months in advanced. So if your pretty sure you want to come to the fall southeast gathering book as early as you can. Allot of us are going to be in campground one from the 40-50’s campsites in that general area. I’ll post a campground map and update it on here or where people are camping at and how fast sites are filling up. The 60’s sites and 80-88 would be good ones to get too.

I’ve already booked site 51, several other members have booked sites close to there. The blue highlighted ones are available Thursday thru Sunday that week. The brown ones people have already booked.

As of right now there’s still some sites available close to the rest of the group in campground 1. There’s some sites on the 80-88 area that are standard campsites that are still freed up Thursday thru Sunday. Also still a few of the low 30’s ones that are the premium waterfront ones left. Then the rest of the campground there’s still quite a few left anyway. The blue ones are still available and brown ones are booked up Thursday thru Sunday at least. I think most of the regulars have booked there sites. So if 5-10 more sites need to get booked up there’s still plenty within a close walking distance of everyone else.

Bump post, I think just about all our regulars have reserved. Not much more has been booked up since the last park map I posted above. There’s still lots of availability in the middle on the 80s campsites. The water front ones look to all be booked now.

Lewis Made up a little flyer for November. Just a quick rundown of what to look forward to! No times are set in stone, this is purely for everyones planning purposes. We will figure out times for contests and lightups at lunch on Saturday.

Beater Lantern contest is reported to have a custom lantern by the Beater Lantern King, Scotty Andrew and a custom globe by Justin Atkinson!

Wickie Lightup is just that, a lightup for wickie lanterns.
Milspec Lightup is for all your cool milspec lanterns and equipment.
Official lightup is the big one! Everyone can bring a lantern and we will get a photo!

Bump. I think just about everyone that’s coming has reserved. Just wanted to bump post in case someone hasn’t saw this. I think the campground is pretty full now but we can always try and squeeze someone in somewhere.

Just a tad late with this comment but my son and myself had a blast at the park and enjoyed the fellowship as always.
A huge thank you to everyone who lined everything up and hosted the event!
