Attention, East Coasters! This is the official thread of the 2023 East Coast Coleman Collectors Club Convention #15!

You are cordially invited to attend! It will again be held at the Artillery Ridge Campground in Gettysburg, PA. https://www.artilleryridge.com/about/park-map-2/

Official dates are June 7-11, 2023. You may certainly come earlier and stay later. First arrival gets a prize (fake news).

TENT SITES ARE STILL $8.00 PER PERSON, PER NIGHT. THIS GETS YOU A 12' X 24' spot for your group's tent and EZ Up. NO ELECTRIC, NO WATER ON YOUR SITE!

To be fair to others, please do not set up a circus tent for $8.00 per night.

Sale and trade tables are welcome. Please bring your own folding tables. We need all picnic tables for group dinners.

Call the campground to reserve your site! Due to a reconfiguration of the campground, we are now tenting in the Group Tent Area. We will be based in that tent area. We will have that entire area, so don't bother requesting one site, we will fill that entire area.

Go on their website and open the "park map". On the far right side of the map, you will see the "Group Tent Area". It is bigger than it looks.

Tent group area is just $8.00 per person, per night. For this price, you'll be in a group area and your vehicle cannot stay on these sites, but can be parked nearby.

WHEN YOU CALL TO BOOK, BE SURE TO TELL THEM YOU ARE WITH THE COLEMAN CLUB! This will get you the $8.00 rate (tenters only).

If you are tenting and would like water and electric on your site or must have your vehicle on site, please book a RV water/electric site.

If you have a RV, request a site with appropriate hookups that you desire.

Looking forward to the event... The campground is awesome and gets better every year. You are actually camping on the battlefield. I usually tour the battlefield in the morning and the rest of the day is for camping and Colemen.

I have reservations from Sunday to Sunday. Just like last year, I am bringing some special Coleman items for a potential new owner - can't keep them forever!

Lots to do and see in the Gettysburg area.

Busy as heck at work, once again I plan to attend but will not be camping. Instead showing up Saturday morning for a bit to see everyone and maybe pick up a few toys as well. Looking forward to it!

If I’m driving up for the day — seems like a lot of the fellows will be off touring the battlefield in the day. Since I’m new to this, is there a ‘time’ or part of the day when a lot of the boys will be around the campsite? Dumb question maybe.

Last year was my first one ai went to. They had a potluck dinner and one member smokes the meats for a small set price. Bring your own dish to pass, silverware and drinks. I only did one night, but I will do each night this year. I had a good time and everyone is friendly.

Dinner post for the gathering. I'd like to try and somewhat put something together to keep it organized. We can do dinner at the pavilion by the parking lot like last year. Please gather for 6pm wed,thur,fri and sat night for a community potluck. We will need people to bring main dishes, as well sides and dessert. To make it fair, please bring a main at least one night you attend for the week since we won't be having the smoked meats this year. I figured we'd make a list and call what you'd like to bring so we don't have triples of a dish or all sides. Also helps gets somewhat of a head count to help prepare. Please and thank you! BYOB plates, utensils and napkins please. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting new friends too!!!

Bring plenty of $$$. You will be suprised at what you will see for sale. Could be anything for the discriminating Coleman Collector.

Great ice cream shop in Gettysburg - homemade real ice cream and soft serve. Mr. G's

3 supermarkets - Kennie's, Giant, and Weiss; plus, a regular Walmart.

Devil's Den and Little Round top are closed for rehab by NPS.

Horse rides to battlefield available from campground. Biking trails through the military park. Be aware, ticks can be encountered in the campground as there is pasture and horses. Bring repellent and consider long pants.

Bus tours of the battlefield can be scheduled at campground and the bus can pick you up at the camp office.

You can actually take a short walk from the campground and be on the battlefield. The campground was actually where the Union Artillery Reserves were stationed.

Check out Sweney's Tavern at The Farnsworth House - you can see bullet holes in brick wall.

Rehab of those locations? What's involved in the rehab of the 100 ton boulders at Devil's Den? I was there last year and can't imagine what they could be doing that they need to shut those locations down to tourists. Not denying what you stated, I just can't imagine why.

Hopefully they're leaving the covered bridge alone as it provides good entertainment by the ghost hunters. I'm not suggesting that there aren't lost souls that haven't crossed over, but to think that lost souls are going to show up because you're running a class with hundreds, if not thousands worth of equipment, well, I do find that silly.
